Relatives of Niger Delta activist, Iteveh Nur Ekpokpobe, have raised serious concerns over his continued detention by Nigeria’s security operatives, claiming his whereabouts and condition remain unclear.

According to family members, the activist has allegedly been held without proper communication with loved ones or consistent access to legal representation. They described the situation as distressing, warning that prolonged isolation could endanger his well-being and violate his fundamental rights.

Sources close to the case indicated that Ekpokpobe was earlier picked up alongside his lawyer over allegations linked to online activities described by authorities as cyber-related offenses. Despite reports that legal steps had been taken to secure his release, his family insists that due process has not been fully respected.

The family is now calling on the Department of State Services to clarify his status and either charge him in court or release him without further delay. They also appealed to human rights groups and the general public to intervene, stressing the need for transparency and adherence to the rule of law.
