The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration for candidates seeking direct admission into 200‑level programmes at Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The registration started on Monday, 2 March 2026, and will run until Saturday, 25 April 2026.

The Direct Entry route is available to candidates with National Diplomas (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Higher National Diplomas (HND), A‑Level certificates, or other recognised qualifications, allowing them to bypass the UTME and gain entry directly into higher levels of study.

JAMB has advised that all applicants purchase e‑PINs and complete their registrations only at authorised state and zonal offices, noting that other locations, including CBT centres, are not authorised for DE registration.

This registration drive comes shortly after the close of the 2026 UTME application period on 28 February 2026 and forms part of JAMB’s schedule for the 2026/2027 academic admissions cycle.

Prospective candidates are urged to complete their registration promptly and ensure all supporting documents meet JAMB’s requirements to secure consideration for admission into their chosen programmes.
