Sokoto State has launched a four-day polio vaccination campaign targeting about 1.2 million children under five. Health workers will be deployed across the state to ensure that children in all communities have access to the life-saving vaccine.

The campaign will see teams going door-to-door, as well as setting up vaccination points in health facilities and other accessible locations to reach as many children as possible.

State health authorities have called on parents and guardians to make sure their children are available for the immunization when the teams arrive.

The drive is part of ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of polio and safeguard children’s health across the state.
