Ekiti State is taking a bold step toward modernizing its healthcare system by introducing new digital solutions aimed at improving patient care and service delivery. The government says this move will make medical services faster, more efficient, and easier to access for residents across the state.

A special Digital Health Taskforce has been set up to drive the transformation, focusing on innovations like electronic medical records, online patient registration, and integrated health data systems. Officials say these measures will help doctors, nurses, and administrators work more effectively while keeping patient information secure.

Some hospitals and health programs in Ekiti have already begun piloting digital services, allowing patients to manage appointments, access medical records, and receive care with reduced delays. State leaders are optimistic that these initiatives will lay the groundwork for a fully digital healthcare ecosystem, improving outcomes and making health services more transparent and reliable for everyone.
