Train operations along the busy Abuja–Kaduna route have resumed following a service halt earlier this week. The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) confirmed that trains are now running normally after an operational problem on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Officials assured passengers that safety and performance measures have been implemented to support the smooth resumption of services. Travelers were informed that all efforts have been made to minimise delays and ensure a seamless experience along the corridor.

The earlier disruption had caused a temporary pause in travel, affecting daily commuters and long-distance passengers alike. Swift action by NRC teams helped restore operations quickly, limiting the impact on travelers.

Management emphasized its commitment to providing reliable and secure rail services, noting that lessons from the incident will guide future improvements along the Abuja–Kaduna line.
