Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has officially started his second term in office, using his inaugural address to urge a fresh approach to advancing the interests of the Igbo people through collaboration and strategic engagement.

At the swearing‑in event in Awka, Soludo highlighted the importance of building alliances that can help bring development projects and political influence to the region. He stressed that Igbo communities must move beyond being observers in national politics and instead work actively to shape outcomes that benefit their homeland.

Soludo pointed out that progress will require more than critique of national policies; he said it hinges on organised efforts to leverage votes and form partnerships that can secure economic and social gains for the South‑East.

He called on civil society, traditional leaders, and political stakeholders to join forces in advancing a narrative that strengthens Igbo interests, both within the state and across the broader national landscape.
