In a show of solidarity and community support, the City Boy Movement, a youth-led organization, distributed thousands of food packages to residents across Calabar, Cross River State. The initiative aimed to ease the burden on families as they prepare for the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr and Easter celebrations.

The program reached both Christian and Muslim households, highlighting the group’s commitment to inclusivity and unity. Organizers said the gesture was meant to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, could celebrate the festive season without worrying about basic necessities.

Speaking during the distribution, the state coordinator explained that the movement is not only focused on charity but also on empowering youth to actively engage in their communities. He urged young people to take part in initiatives that promote social cohesion and support vulnerable residents.

Residents who received the packages expressed deep appreciation, noting that the assistance would go a long way in helping their families meet immediate food needs. The event underscored the impact of youth-driven efforts in fostering goodwill and addressing local challenges.
