Plateau State has launched free emergency telephone lines for residents to report suspicious or dangerous activities. The initiative was announced by Governor Caleb Mutfwang during a church service in Jos North Local Government Area.

The toll-free numbers are designed to strengthen communication between citizens and security officials, enabling faster responses to potential threats. The governor encouraged residents to cooperate with authorities by providing credible information to help reduce crime in their communities.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged recent violent incidents in the state but reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, emphasizing that the government will continue working toward peace despite challenges.

He explained that the program is based on the principle of “see something, say something,” and noted that the hotlines will soon be operational, giving people a direct way to alert security agencies about potential dangers.
