The member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency, Lucky Johnson, has congratulated the newly admitted students of the Abia State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Aba, urging them to take their academic journey seriously and remain focused on excellence.
Speaking to newsmen after the matriculation ceremony, Hon. Johnson described education as the most reliable foundation for personal growth and societal development, stressing that the health sector requires discipline, competence, and strong moral character.
He charged the matriculants to see their admission as a rare privilege and to combine diligence in their studies with good conduct, noting that both are essential for success.
The lawmaker warned against involvement in cultism, examination malpractice, and other social vices, adding that such actions could truncate their academic pursuit and future ambitions. He encouraged them to remain committed and determined to achieve their goals.
Hon. Johnson expressed confidence that the students would make the most of the opportunity and grow into professionals who will contribute meaningfully to society.
He commended the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, for prioritizing education, noting that the administration’s reforms and investments are already improving standards across institutions in the state.
He also praised the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa, for his strong advocacy for quality education and his emphasis on character and learning, describing the message as timely and impactful for the matriculants.
