Air Force Strike in Sambisa Forest Leaves Multiple Terrorists Dead

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out coordinated air operations in the Sambisa Forest area, resulting in the elimination of several terrorist fighters.

According to the military, the air raids were executed under Operation HADIN KAI in the Yuwe axis of the forest following intelligence reports that confirmed the presence of armed insurgents hiding in fortified positions and underground structures.

The targets were engaged with precision-guided munitions, leading to the destruction of enemy hideouts and logistics points used by the group. Military officials said the operation also disrupted the activities of the terrorists operating in the area.

The Air Force explained that the strikes were part of ongoing efforts to maintain pressure on insurgent groups in the North-East and weaken their ability to regroup or launch attacks.

It added that surveillance and intelligence-based missions will continue as part of broader counterterrorism operations aimed at restoring stability in affected regions.
