The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has transferred ₦1.12 million recovered from a deadly road crash to the family of the victim involved.
The sum was discovered by rescue officers at the accident site along a busy highway following a collision that claimed the life of one of the drivers despite emergency medical efforts.
According to the corps, the money and other personal effects found at the scene were properly recorded and secured as part of its standard procedure for managing crash-related recoveries.
The funds were later officially released to the deceased’s relatives during a formal handover carried out by FRSC officials, with a family representative receiving the items on behalf of the household.
The agency said the gesture reflects its commitment to transparency and proper handling of victims’ belongings, while also reaffirming its dedication to road safety and accident prevention across the country.
