The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has significantly increased crude oil shipments to the Dangote Refinery, with delivery volumes in April crossing the equivalent of over one billion litres of crude.
Data from tanker movements shows that the state oil company’s trading arm supplied more than 1.03 million metric tonnes of crude within the month, delivered in eight separate cargoes to the Lagos-based refinery. The shipments translate to about 6.8 million barrels of oil.
The crude was sourced from several major Nigerian oil fields, including streams such as Forcados, Bonga, Qua Iboe, Odudu, Anyala, and Utapate. These supplies were transported through the refinery’s offshore discharge systems to support ongoing operations.
According to operational records, five of the cargoes have already been fully offloaded, while three are still in various stages of delivery. This indicates a continuous flow of crude into the facility as part of a structured supply arrangement.
The development highlights NNPC’s continued role as a key supplier to the Dangote Refinery, which has a daily processing capacity of 650,000 barrels and relies heavily on consistent crude inflows to sustain production levels.
