Armed Men Abduct Lagos Resident, Seek N60m for Release

A woman identified as Mrs. Olanike Ogundare has been abducted from her residence in the Ijedodo area of Lagos State by suspected gunmen. The incident occurred on April 23, 2026, when the attackers reportedly gained access to the property after overpowering the on-duty security guard.

According to available information, the assailants forcefully took her from the home and fled the scene before any immediate intervention could take place. The incident has raised concerns among residents in the area about safety and security.

Sources close to the family revealed that the kidnappers have since reached out and are demanding a ransom of N60 million in exchange for her freedom.

Efforts to secure her safe return are ongoing, while authorities are expected to intensify investigations into the incident.
