Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has called on all Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Tinubu, saying national support is necessary to sustain ongoing reforms and drive development across the country.
Speaking during an engagement with traditional rulers in Port Harcourt, Fubara stressed that the success of government policies depends not only on leadership decisions but also on the cooperation of citizens at all levels.
He noted that the administration’s economic and governance reforms are still in progress and require stability and continuity to deliver long-term benefits. According to him, distractions or divided public support could slow down efforts aimed at improving infrastructure, the economy, and public services.
Fubara also encouraged Nigerians to embrace unity and patience, adding that meaningful national progress often takes time and collective commitment.
He highlighted the role of traditional rulers in promoting peace and guiding their communities, while also stressing that ordinary citizens have a responsibility to support initiatives that advance national development.
The governor’s remarks came during a meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between government and traditional institutions, with discussions also touching on peace, stability, and shared responsibility for the country’s growth.
