A new wave of violence in Adamawa State has drawn sharp criticism from Amnesty International after dozens of residents were killed in an हमला on a rural community.

According to reports, gunmen descended on Guyaku in Gombi Local Government Area, catching villagers off guard and leaving a trail of destruction. Homes were damaged and families displaced as the attackers carried out the assault for an extended period.

Amnesty International expressed concern over what it described as a recurring failure to safeguard communities in Nigeria’s northeast. The organisation urged authorities to move beyond reactive measures and adopt more effective strategies to prevent further bloodshed.

The нападение has been linked to the activities of Boko Haram, a group long associated with insurgent attacks across the region. Residents say the continued threat has created fear and uncertainty, with many calling for stronger security presence.

State officials have acknowledged the incident and promised to work with security agencies to restore calm. However, rights advocates insist that urgent and decisive action is necessary to protect lives and stop the pattern of repeated attacks.
