Tinubu’s Warning Against Infighting Timely, Necessary for APC Unity — Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant Mascot Uzor Kalu
Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s call for peace, fairness and internal democracy as the All Progressives Congress begins its nationwide primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reacting to President Tinubu’s statement cautioning party members against engaging in “do or die” politics, Chief Kalu described the President’s position as timely, statesmanlike and necessary for the continued growth and stability of the APC.
President Tinubu had, in a statement personally signed by him on Thursday, urged aspirants, party leaders and delegates across the country to conduct themselves peacefully while embracing fairness, sportsmanship and the principles of internal democracy during the primaries.
Chief Kalu said the President’s message sends a strong signal that the APC must remain a party driven by discipline, unity and respect for democratic values rather than desperation and division.
According to him, political contests within the party should not be seen as warfare but as an opportunity for members to freely present their visions and earn the support of delegates and the people through credibility and service.
The Abia 2027 Governorship Election Aspirant further noted that Nigeria’s democracy can only deepen when political actors place the collective interest of the party and the nation above personal ambition.
He urged APC stakeholders across the country to heed the President’s advice by avoiding inflammatory actions capable of creating tension before, during and after the primaries.
Chief Kalu also expressed confidence that under President Tinubu’s leadership, the APC would continue to strengthen its internal democratic processes while positioning itself for greater victories in the 2027 general elections.
He called on party faithful in Abia State and across Nigeria to remain united, focused and committed to building a stronger APC capable of delivering effective governance and sustainable development to the people.
