Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has declared his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, leveraging his Abia Rejoice movement to rally grassroots support for the president’s leadership and policy direction. Speaking at a gathering in Umuahia, Ogah praised Tinubu’s governance style, describing it as bold, focused, and reform-driven.

Ogah commended the president for initiating critical reforms in the economy, infrastructure, and public service, noting that Tinubu’s leadership has already begun to inspire renewed confidence in both local and international circles. According to him, the president has demonstrated the political will to take difficult but necessary decisions for Nigeria’s long-term progress.

“What Nigeria needs now is not convenience but courage, and President Tinubu has shown that courage,” Ogah said. “From stabilizing economic policy to restoring investor confidence and confronting longstanding structural issues, he has proven himself to be a leader with both vision and action.”

He noted that Tinubu’s commitment to agricultural development, power sector reform, and infrastructure renewal are setting Nigeria on a path toward sustainable growth. Ogah added that the president’s approach to governance reflects a deep understanding of Nigeria’s challenges and a practical plan for overcoming them.

By deploying the Abia Rejoice movement in support of Tinubu, Ogah is offering the president an extensive grassroots platform to connect with communities at the local level, especially in the Southeast. The movement’s influence across wards, villages, and towns in Abia presents a rare opportunity to build stronger public trust in the Tinubu administration and to counter political misrepresentation at the regional level. It will also help in reshaping perceptions and winning hearts in a zone traditionally skeptical of the ruling party.

Ogah stressed that his support for Tinubu stems from a conviction that the country is on the right path under the current administration. He said the Abia Rejoice movement, which has long championed good governance and civic responsibility, would serve as a platform to sensitize the people on the importance of backing effective national leadership, regardless of political affiliation.

While responding to questions from the media, Ogah made it clear that his endorsement of the president is driven by principle. “This is not about party politics,” he said. “It’s about standing with what is right and supporting a leader who is delivering for the nation.”
