The people of Amiyi Uhu in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State have showered praises on Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, the member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, for the successful completion of the Eke Amiyi Uhu Market project.
The massive project, which consists of 36 buildings housing over 400 standard shops, marks a significant milestone in rural economic development and local empowerment in the area. This new market infrastructure is set to serve as a central commercial hub for the community and neighboring towns.
This achievement follows closely on the heels of the completion of the Ndiawa Market in Umunneochi, another remarkable project delivered by Hon. Ogah within his first term in office.
Community leaders and traders in Amiyi Uhu commended the Honourable member for his visionary leadership and commitment to grassroots development. They described the new market as a dream come true, saying it will boost trade, attract investment, and enhance the local economy.
Beyond market development, Hon. Ogah has executed several other impactful projects across the constituency. These include the construction of classroom blocks in various schools, provision of solar-powered street lights in rural communities, installation of boreholes for clean water supply, and youth empowerment programmes through skills acquisition and business grants. He also facilitated the rehabilitation of key rural roads to ease transportation and access to markets and farmlands.
The Eke Amiyi Uhu Market now awaits formal commissioning by Hon. Amobi Ogah, an event that promises to bring together stakeholders from across the constituency and beyond to celebrate this notable achievement.
Hon. Ogah’s gesture has once again reaffirmed his reputation as a lawmaker who delivers on his promises and places his constituents at the center of his representation.
