The Abia State Government has congratulated Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, popularly known as Magic Fingers, on his election as the National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU).

Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, in a congratulatory message, described Kalu’s landslide victory at the just-concluded RATTAWU National Delegates Conference (NDC) 2025 in Gombe State as a clear testament to the confidence reposed in him by his colleagues across the country.

Emetu praised Kalu’s emergence as a source of pride to Abia State and an inspiration to young professionals, noting that his leadership style, dedication, and vision have earned him nationwide respect.

He expressed optimism that under Kalu’s stewardship, RATTAWU will witness a new era of advocacy, professionalism, innovation, and collaboration—elements that will uplift both union members and the broader media industry in Nigeria.

The Deputy Governor further assured Kalu of the full support of the Abia State Government throughout his tenure, expressing hope that it will be marked by unity, impactful achievements, and national progress.

Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, a native of Okon-Aku Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, defeated contenders from Rivers, Ekiti, and Ogun States to clinch the national presidency. A respected media professional with years of impactful service in Anambra State, Kalu has built a reputation for grassroots mobilization and effective leadership.

His victory has been met with jubilation, particularly among media workers in the Southeast, who see his emergence as a triumph for professionalism, youth representation, and visionary leadership in unionism.
