In a statement released on Wednesday by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, the PSC also announced the promotion of 38 Specialist Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents and 29 Specialist Superintendents to Chief Superintendents. These promotions were among the key decisions made during the Commission’s plenary meeting, which concluded in Abuja on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Additionally, the Commission had earlier approved the promotion of 12 Commissioners of Police to Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), 16 Deputy Commissioners to Commissioners, and 28 Assistant Commissioners to Deputy Commissioners of Police.

PSC Chairman, DIG Solomon Arase (Rtd.), emphasized the need for officers to maintain high levels of patriotism, dedication, and integrity in their daily conduct. He reminded police personnel of their critical role as community protectors and pledged that the Commission would remain committed to enhancing their welfare and working conditions.
