The Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, has joined millions across the globe to celebrate Nigerian women on the occasion of the 2025 International Women’s Day, describing them as pillars of strength, courage, and nation-building.

In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja, Hon. Ogah lauded the resilience, determination, and resourcefulness of Nigerian women across various sectors — from the home front to business, education, politics, agriculture, healthcare, and public service.

According to the federal lawmaker, this year’s theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, is a timely call to action, urging all stakeholders to intensify efforts toward empowering women economically, socially, and politically. He emphasized that sustainable national development cannot be achieved without the inclusion and advancement of women.

“Today, I celebrate the incredible women of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi, Abia State, and Nigeria at large. You are the backbone of our communities and the engine room of growth in our country. Your strength in adversity, compassion in leadership, and unmatched contributions to family and society are worthy of honor,” Hon. Ogah said.

He further reiterated his commitment to promoting policies and supporting bills at the National Assembly that will advance gender equality, protect the rights of women and girls, and create opportunities for their full participation in national development.

Hon. Ogah encouraged Nigerian women to continue to rise above limitations, take leadership roles, and remain united in pushing for a better and more inclusive society.

“On this special day, I salute every Nigerian woman. May your voices grow louder, your dreams soar higher, and your impact continue to shape a brighter future for our nation,” he concluded.
