Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, the Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has commissioned three newly constructed classroom blocks in Abam community, reaffirming his commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the area.
At the event held on Saturday, Hon. Osonwa expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Abam for their unwavering support, noting that any development in the community feels deeply personal to him. He emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of his legislative priorities.
The lawmaker lamented the poor condition of some existing school structures and, upon inspection, immediately directed the reroofing of a dilapidated three-classroom block that has been abandoned for over two decades.
Hon. Osonwa also praised Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, for his prompt interventions in constituency matters, including the ongoing reconstruction of the Omenuko and Nmouri Bridges, and the Abam–Arochukwu Road.
He assured the community of continued support, including plans to recommend perimeter fencing and further rehabilitation projects to restore the school’s infrastructure.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Hon. Ike Okoroafor, Councillor representing Ohafor Ward, commended Osonwa for his quality representation and for keeping his campaign promises.
The commissioning marks Hon. Osonwa’s third completed school project as he celebrates his second anniversary in office.
