Ten Arrested in Bradford Over Historical Child Sexual Abuse Allegations

Ten men have been arrested by West Yorkshire Police as part of an ongoing investigation into historical child sexual abuse in Bradford.

The suspects, aged between 49 and 71, were detained at various addresses across the city. Police confirmed that all ten have been interviewed and released on bail pending further inquiries.

The investigation centres around allegations of sexual offences that are said to have occurred between 1994 and 1997. The reported victims, six in total, were between the ages of 13 and 15 at the time the alleged abuse took place.

Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Greenbank of Bradford District Police emphasized the force’s commitment to child protection, stating:
“Safeguarding and protecting children remains the top priority for West Yorkshire Police.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation is an abhorrent and heinous crime, and one which affects some of the most vulnerable people in our society.”

She added, “This investigation demonstrates the force’s ongoing commitment to pursuing justice in both current and non-recent cases involving sexual offences against children.”

West Yorkshire Police assured the public that the inquiry is active and ongoing, with specialist officers supporting the victims involved.
