Gunmen Abduct Nasarawa Chief Judge’s Aide, Police Launch Manhunt

Mr. Enock Maku, the Senior Special Assistant on Information and Protocol to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen in the Agyaragu area of Lafia Local Government Area. The abduction, which occurred late Wednesday night, has caused tension and fear among local residents.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that security personnel responded promptly and engaged the kidnappers in a confrontation, successfully rescuing two individuals. However, Mr. Maku remains in the custody of the abductors.

“The command has commenced a full-scale investigation and manhunt aimed at securing the safe release of Mr. Maku,” Nansel assured, urging residents to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities.

This incident adds to the growing list of security challenges in the area, renewing calls for enhanced protection of government officials and heightened community vigilance.
