Umunneochi, Abia State — August 4, 2025

In a strong show of unity and political endorsement, the Umunneochi Performance Assessment Assembly has declared unwavering support for Chief Amobi Ogah, the current representative of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, announcing that no son or daughter from the area will contest against him in the upcoming 2027 elections.

The Assembly, which comprises respected community leaders, stakeholders and youth representatives, made the declaration following what they described as a comprehensive assessment of Chief Ogah’s performance since assuming office.

Speaking after a high-level deliberation in Umunneochi over the weekend, the Leader of the group Chief Iheanacho Uwa praised Chief Ogah for what they called “unprecedented strides in infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, and community development.” According to them, the lawmaker has distinguished himself through transparent leadership, grassroots engagement, and impactful constituency projects.

“Chief Amobi Ogah has set a new standard in representation. His performance speaks for itself, and we the people of Umunneochi say: One good turn deserves another,” the Assembly said in a joint statement.

They emphasized that the decision to support his return bid was taken in the interest of unity, continuity, and progress for the constituency.

“Our resolve is firm — no son or daughter from Umunneochi will contest against him come 2027. We are united in this stand because when a leader delivers, the people must reward him,” the statement added.

“This endorsement is not just a vote of confidence — it’s a call to greater service. I am humbled and inspired to do even more for our great constituency,” he said.
