The Bokkos Likeminds Association (BLA), an advocacy group, has strongly denounced what it describes as ongoing genocide and relentless violence in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. The group decried the persistent attacks, destruction of communities, and loss of lives allegedly carried out by suspected Fulani militias.

In a statement jointly signed by its President, Dr. ST Nguwap, and General Secretary, Engr. Morgan Mangai, the BLA urged both federal and state governments, along with security agencies, to intensify efforts to end the bloodshed. The group revealed that the attacks have led to the deaths of hundreds, displacement of entire communities, and destruction of farmlands and property.

Labeling the assaults as systematic and coordinated, the association warned that the survival of the Bokkos people is under serious threat. It called for the eviction of Fulani settlers without ancestral or legal land claims, an outright ban on open grazing, and the implementation of modern ranching practices.

The BLA further demanded stricter enforcement of immigration laws, improved border security, and constitutional recognition of indigenous rights and self-defence. The group appealed to the Plateau State Government, the Federal Government, and the international community to take swift action to restore peace, justice, and security in Bokkos.
