Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has confirmed the death of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the pioneer Head of the FCT Civil Service.

Adayilo reportedly passed away in the early hours of Monday, though details surrounding her death were not immediately disclosed.

Speaking during a media chat with select journalists in Abuja, Wike described her as a dedicated and hardworking public servant. He revealed that he had appealed to President Bola Tinubu to extend her tenure in recognition of her commitment and service.

“The late FCT Head of Service was very hardworking. I pleaded with President Tinubu to extend her tenure due to her hard work. If I had gotten the information on her demise earlier, I would have put off this media chat,” Wike said.
