Otti Inaugurates ASCETA, Abia Transport Boards, Appoints SSA on Women Affairs

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, on Monday inaugurated the governing boards of the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu (ASCETA), and the Abia State Transport Corporation, alongside the appointment of a Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs, Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka.

The ceremony, held at Nvosi in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, saw Dr. Joe Emeson named Chairman of ASCETA, while Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba was appointed Chairman of the Abia State Transport Corporation.

Governor Otti congratulated the appointees, commending them for accepting to serve the state. He emphasized the need for dedication and commitment, stressing that their appointments followed a rigorous selection process.

“I would like to thank you for accepting to serve your state. This job requires full commitment, and I have no doubt you will give your best to Abia,” Otti said.

Responding, ASCETA Chairman, Dr. Emeson, described education as the foundation of societal development and assured the Governor of his readiness to justify the confidence reposed in him.

On his part, Abia Transport Chairman, Mr. Ufomba, expressed gratitude to the Governor, describing him as a leader with passion for the transport sector. He pledged to deliver reforms and improvements in line with the Governor’s vision.

Dr. Joe Emeson – Chairman, Governing Council, ASCETA

Dr. Mrs. Idowu O. Eluwa – Provost, ASCETA

Mr. Emmanuel M. Ufomba – Chairman, Abia Transport Corporation

Godanswer P. Kalu, Mrs. Salomey Onwu, Kingsley Oriaku, and Onyebuchi Nna – Members, Abia Transport Corporation
