Barely weeks after its official launch, state-owned carrier Enugu Air is facing public scrutiny following the forceful removal of a passenger from one of its flights.

A viral video circulating online over the weekend shows officials dragging a male passenger off the aircraft as other travelers looked on. In the background, some voices were heard shouting, “Yes, yes, go down,” suggesting support for the action.

The dramatic scene disrupted the cabin as the man, whose identity remains unknown, was escorted out. The incident reportedly occurred moments before take-off on a flight branded with Enugu Air’s logo.

As of press time, neither Enugu Air nor the passenger involved has issued a statement clarifying the circumstances surrounding the removal.

The development comes amid recent controversies involving Nigerian airlines. In July, a passenger identified as Comfort Emmanson clashed with flight attendants aboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos. Around the same period, Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1) was also reported to have had a confrontation with ValueJet Airlines staff at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The latest incident raises fresh concerns about passenger-airline relations in Nigeria’s aviation industry.
