Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has deactivated her social media accounts following the sudden death of her sister, Ruth Otabor.

Ruth reportedly lost her life in a fatal accident involving a Dangote truck, an incident that has thrown the Otabor family into deep mourning.

Phyna, who is known for her vibrant online presence, has chosen to step away from public platforms to grieve privately. Since the news broke, condolence messages have been pouring in from fans, colleagues, and fellow celebrities.

Meanwhile, the development has sparked controversy after relationship and lifestyle coach Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, faulted the reality star’s recent clash with activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).

In a video released on Sunday, Blessing CEO said she sympathised with Phyna’s loss but criticised her handling of the disagreement, accusing her of being ungrateful to VDM despite his earlier support. She suggested that Phyna could have sought help from other activists or platforms instead of attacking him and siding with his rival, Izzy Ogbeide.

Blessing CEO further alleged that Phyna had turned her late sister’s health crisis into online content, insisting that activists “are also human and deserve appreciation.”

She added that it was contradictory for Phyna to criticise VDM while still expecting his assistance.

For now, the grieving reality star remains offline as her family continues to mourn Ruth’s tragic passing.
