The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has appealed to tertiary institutions to quicken the verification and approval of completed student loan applications to prevent unnecessary delays in disbursement.

In a statement issued by its Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the Fund noted that many prospective beneficiaries have complained that slow institutional verification is delaying the release of their tuition fees and upkeep allowances.

“By prioritising timely verification and approval of completed applications, students will have no issues receiving their fees as and when due,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, NELFUND has announced the relocation of its headquarters to a new permanent office. Effective September 5, 2025, all correspondence, visits, and enquiries will now be directed to House 12, Plot 103/104, Monrovia Street, Wuse 2, opposite Bon Hotel, Abuja.

The Fund assured the public that the move will not disrupt its operations.

“NELFUND remains fully operational and committed to its mandate of providing affordable education loans and support to Nigerian students nationwide. We appreciate your trust and continued support as we expand access to higher education financing,” it added.
