The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its air interdictions under Operation Hadin Kai neutralised dozens of terrorists and demolished their enclave in Borno State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame. According to him, the strikes were carried out around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in Bula Madibale, within the Gezuwa general area.
Ejodame explained that intelligence and surveillance reports had detected unusual movements at the site, where about 45 terrorists had converged, with some arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from multiple directions. Reconnaissance further revealed two insurgent flags hoisted at the location, signifying its use as a major stronghold and rallying point for the group.
“Acting on this credible intelligence, precision airstrikes were launched, eliminating several terrorists, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets were destroyed,” Ejodame stated. He added that the operation prevented the insurgents from regrouping or launching further attacks, stressing that the Armed Forces remain committed to restoring lasting peace and stability in the North-East.
