Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele has been crowned the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, edging Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal to the prestigious award.
The trophy was handed to him by football legend Ronaldinho in Paris, marking a career-defining moment for the Frenchman after a stellar year. Dembele succeeds Manchester City’s Rodri, who claimed the prize in 2024 ahead of Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
On the women’s side, Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati retained her crown, beating Arsenal duo Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo to the honour.
