ABIA NSCDC PARTNERS NATIONAL WAR MUSEUM TO PROTECT NATIONAL HERITAGE

The Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has pledged closer collaboration with the National War Museum, Umuahia, to strengthen efforts in safeguarding Nigeria’s national heritage.

The State Commandant, Akinsola Aderemi, received the Curator of the Museum, Mrs. Stella Alao, and her team during a courtesy visit to the Command’s headquarters on Friday.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASC II Doreen Udugwu, the visit provided an opportunity for Mrs. Alao to highlight the mission and vision of the War Museum, as well as its strategic role in preserving Nigeria’s military history.

The engagement focused on fostering mutual understanding and exploring avenues for collaboration to protect critical national assets.

Reaffirming the NSCDC’s mandate, Commandant Aderemi assured of the Command’s commitment to safeguarding vital infrastructure, promoting peace, and strengthening unity within Abia State.

In her remarks, Mrs. Alao praised the NSCDC for its dedication to protecting lives and property, while expressing the museum’s readiness to partner with the Command on initiatives that promote national security and community development.
