APC Pledges Cooperation with New INEC Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its readiness to cooperate with the newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joas Ojo Amupitan.

Speaking in Abuja, the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Duro Meseko, described Amupitan’s appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a “perfect choice,” adding that the party has full confidence in his ability to lead the electoral body effectively.

Meseko stated, “Anyone appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as INEC Chairman, in line with the powers vested in him by the Constitution, is welcome by the APC. We have no reason to oppose his decision. We assure the new INEC Chairman that the APC will work with him within the confines of the law, and we wish him success in his tenure.”

Prof. Amupitan’s appointment has drawn national attention as he steps into the role at a critical time for Nigeria’s democratic process, with political parties gearing up for upcoming elections.
