Interpol Systems Consultant and prominent security analyst, Sir Chikwe Udensi, has taken a swipe at both the Federal Government and governors of the South East, accusing them of ignoring the urgent security challenges confronting the nation. He expressed concern that leaders appear more focused on less pressing matters while insecurity continues to escalate.
Udensi argued that the worsening situation in various communities across the South East and other regions is a direct consequence of leadership failing to prioritize the safety of citizens. He noted that the lack of coordinated action from government authorities has allowed criminal activities to thrive.
He stressed that effective security management requires proactive planning, adequate funding, and strong political will—elements he believes are currently missing. Udensi warned that if authorities do not urgently rethink their approach, the crisis could deteriorate further.
The security expert therefore called on the Federal Government to immediately elevate national security to the top of its agenda. He urged both federal and state leaders to treat the situation as a national emergency and implement comprehensive measures to restore peace and stability.
