Abia Governor Otti Appoints New Communication Chiefs

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has reshuffled his media team, appointing Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka as Director General of the Abia State Strategic Communications Bureau and Comrade Igwe Samuel Obinna as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media. The appointments, announced on November 30, 2025, aim to enhance the government’s communication strategy and engagement with the public.

Sir Ememanka, a veteran media professional and lawyer, brings experience as former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu. He will lead strategic messaging, public relations, and communication coordination across government agencies. Comrade Igwe will focus on digital engagement, online communication, and social media feedback.

The appointments take effect on December 1, 2025, as part of Governor Otti’s efforts to strengthen communication, improve transparency, and connect with Abia State citizens.
