Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development and President of Masters Energy Group, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, has extended warm New Year greetings to the people of Abia State and Nigerians across the country, calling on citizens to step into the new year with renewed hope, unity, and commitment to national development.
In his New Year message, Dr Ogah expressed profound gratitude to God for the gift of life and preservation through the previous year, noting that despite economic and social challenges, Nigerians have continued to demonstrate resilience, courage, and an unyielding spirit of perseverance.
He described the new year as a season of fresh beginnings and collective responsibility, urging Abians to remain steadfast, hardworking, and optimistic in the pursuit of personal growth and communal progress. According to him, meaningful development is achieved when citizens embrace discipline, integrity, and shared values that place the common good above individual interests.
Dr Ogah commended the people of Abia State for their industry and resilience, affirming that Abians remain a shining example of enterprise, innovation, and determination in the Nigerian project. He encouraged youths to channel their energy into productive ventures, skills acquisition, and education, stressing that the future of the nation rests heavily on their creativity and sense of purpose.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, the business leader called for unity beyond ethnic, religious, and political lines, emphasizing that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity. He urged leaders at all levels to recommit themselves to selfless service, transparency, and policies that directly improve the welfare of the people.
Dr Ogah further reaffirmed his personal commitment to contributing to economic growth, job creation, and human capital development through private sector investment and community focused initiatives, adding that sustainable progress requires collaboration between government, the private sector, and the people.
He concluded by wishing Abians and all Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling New Year, praying that the months ahead bring improved opportunities, restored hope, and enduring peace to every home.
“May the new year usher in divine wisdom, good health, and uncommon breakthroughs for our people and our nation,” Dr Ogah stated, as he called on Nigerians to move forward together with faith, courage, and a shared vision for a better Nigeria.
