Chief Mascot Uzo Kalu, Abia 2027 governorship aspirant, has hailed the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their courage, resilience and fighting spirit following their narrow defeat to Morocco in the semi finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

In a goodwill message released on Thursday, Kalu described the match as a display of true Nigerian character, noting that the team stood strong, battled with honour and gave their all until the very last minute.

According to him, the players showcased not just football skills but the deep spirit of perseverance that defines Nigerians across the world, even in moments of tough challenge.

He urged the team not to see the loss as a failure but as part of a greater journey, reminding them that they still have a chance to return home with a medal.

“You fought bravely, you stood tall and you carried the pride of our nation with dignity. Nigeria is proud of you,” Kalu said.

He further encouraged the players to remain focused, united and determined as they head into their next match, stressing that champions are not only defined by victory but by how they rise after setbacks.

“The Eagle never stops soaring. Go again, fight again and make Nigeria proud,” he added.
