Ogah Encourages Super Eagles despite setbacks, Backs them for Bronze Match

Former Minister for Mines & Steel Dr Uche Ogah has praised the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their outstanding display of courage and determination despite their semi final loss to Morocco at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking to Masters TV, Ogah described the team’s performance as heroic, noting that they gave Nigerians moments of pride, excitement and hope throughout the encounter.

He said the players demonstrated uncommon resilience, fighting with passion and dignity for the full 120 minutes, a reflection of the true Nigerian spirit.

According to him, the outcome of the match should not overshadow the bravery, discipline and unity displayed by the team on the pitch.

“They fought with heart, with honour and with the belief that Nigeria can always rise. That alone is victory,” Ogah stated.

Recall that the Super Eagles will face Egypt in the third place playoff match as they battle for a bronze medal at the tournament.

Ogah urged the players to remain focused, confident and united as they prepare for the crucial encounter, assuring them that Nigerians remain solidly behind them.

“Our Eagles must keep flying. Setbacks do not define us, our response does,” he added.
