Dangote Slashes Petrol Prices, Seeks New Ventures in Burundi

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol it supplies to marketers, cutting the ex-depot cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N25 per litre to N774. The adjustment takes effect immediately and reflects efforts to respond to market conditions and increased domestic fuel supply.

In addition to the price adjustment, Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, is exploring new investment opportunities in Burundi. During a visit to the East African nation, Dangote held discussions on expanding the group’s presence in sectors such as solid minerals, power, agriculture, and infrastructure.

These moves demonstrate a dual focus for Dangote: ensuring more affordable domestic fuel while pursuing strategic growth across Africa.

The company says it will continue monitoring market trends to maintain competitive pricing and support regional development initiatives.
