The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State has taken its campaign to reduce traffic accidents into church communities, engaging worshippers and residents on the importance of road safety and responsible behaviour on the roads. The initiative is part of FRSC’s broader effort to educate the public on how to avoid crashes and save lives.

The outreach was held at a church gathering in Nnewi, where the FRSC’s Anambra Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekauno, addressed churchgoers on key road safety issues. She highlighted helmet use, careful pedestrian habits, the dangers of overloading vehicles, and the risks of reckless driving, emphasizing that everyone has a role to play in promoting safer roads.

Asekauno urged drivers, motorcyclists, commercial transport operators, and pedestrians to adopt good road habits and serve as safety promoters within their families and communities. The event also included the distribution of educational flyers and materials containing practical tips to help people stay safe on highways and local streets.

Church leaders welcomed the initiative, expressing appreciation for efforts to bring life‑saving information to their congregations. They pledged ongoing support to help spread road safety awareness beyond the church and into wider communities across the state.
