Rapper and music executive Sean “Diddy” is now expected to leave prison sooner than initially scheduled after his projected release date was moved forward by several weeks.
Diddy is serving a sentence of just over four years for convictions related to prostitution‑linked charges. His time in prison has seen adjustments over the past months, including extensions after reported rule violations.
A key factor in the new release date is his participation in a federal residential drug‑abuse rehabilitation programme, which allows eligible inmates to reduce their sentences. Diddy has been enrolled in this programme since late 2025 while continuing to pursue an appeal of his conviction.
Although still incarcerated at a federal facility in New Jersey, his legal team remains active in court, seeking either a reversal of the verdict or further reductions to his sentence.
