The Founder of the Onyeobia Foundation, Kelechi Ozioma Onyeobia, has urged residents of Abia State, both at home and in the diaspora, to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

Onyeobia made the call while addressing indigenes of Ugwunagbo Local Government Area at the conclusion of his ward sensitisation tour, held at the Asa Umunka Civic Centre on Monday, March 29, 2026.

He emphasised the importance of voter registration as a fundamental step in the democratic process, noting that obtaining a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is essential for eligibility to vote in future elections.

According to him, civic responsibility begins with registering to vote, urging all eligible citizens to take the process seriously.

He specifically called on youths who have recently attained the age of 18, as well as individuals who have lost, damaged, or misplaced their voter cards, to take advantage of the exercise to register or obtain replacements.

Onyeobia also commended Governor Alex Otti for what he described as outstanding performance in office, stating that his achievements have positioned him strongly for a second term in 2027. He encouraged residents of the state to support the governor’s re-election bid to ensure the continuation of ongoing developmental strides.
