The Edo State House of Assembly has publicly promised to remain in full support of the policy plans and programmes of Governor Monday Okpebholo as his administration moves forward.

During an Easter visit to the governor’s residence in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area, the Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku, spoke on behalf of all 24 lawmakers, reaffirming their commitment to Okpebholo’s agenda and saying the Assembly would help ensure his campaign promises are realised for the people of Edo State.

Agbebaku also praised the governor for what he described as noteworthy achievements since Okpebholo took office in November 2024, including progress on key infrastructure projects.

In response, the governor thanked the lawmakers for their cooperation, describing the relationship between the legislative and executive branches as harmonious and essential to the progress his administration has recorded, especially in infrastructure development.

He added that continued unity between both arms of government would be important for further success in the year ahead.
