Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has raised fresh concerns over what he described as recurring threats to his life, insisting that recent developments fit into a “long-standing pattern” of intimidation.
Sowore made the claim while reacting to reports suggesting a possible assassination plot against him. He said the situation reflects a familiar trend of hostility he has faced over the years due to his activism and criticism of government policies.
According to him, such alleged threats are not isolated incidents but part of a broader effort to silence dissenting voices. He maintained that he will not be intimidated by what he described as attempts to silence him.
The activist, however, did not provide specific evidence of the latest alleged plot but called attention to the need for authorities to take all threats against public figures seriously and ensure proper investigation to protect lives and uphold safety.
