Diezani Alison-Madueke,Former Nigerian Minister of Petroleum Resources, has denied all accusations of bribery and corruption as proceedings continue in a London court.

She is facing multiple charges linked to alleged acceptance of illicit payments during her time in office, including claims that she influenced the awarding of oil-related contracts in exchange for personal benefits.

During the hearing, Alison-Madueke maintained that she never solicited or received any form of bribe, insisting that she carried out her official duties with fairness and integrity throughout her tenure.

The court also heard that she and other defendants in the case have all pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

The trial, which involves several co-accused individuals, is part of a wider investigation into alleged corruption within Nigeria’s oil sector and is expected to continue as both prosecution and defence present their arguments.
