The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled a stakeholder engagement session aimed at bringing together key players in Nigeria’s electoral process for discussions on upcoming polls and related preparations.

The meeting, which will be chaired by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan, is expected to include representatives from political parties, election observers, security agencies, and civil society organizations.

The commission says the forum is designed to provide an avenue for open discussions on electoral readiness, challenges, and ways to improve transparency and efficiency in future elections.

Professor Amupitan is also expected to emphasize the importance of cooperation among stakeholders, adherence to electoral rules, and maintaining peace throughout the election period.

INEC added that the engagement is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen confidence in the electoral system and ensure smoother coordination ahead of national polls.
