The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has made changes to the schedule for its upcoming orientation exercise affecting prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun states.
According to the revised arrangement, the adjustment is part of efforts to streamline operations for the 2026 service year batch and ensure a smoother mobilisation process across the country.
The orientation programme, which serves as the official entry point for newly deployed graduates into the national service scheme, includes registration, swearing-in, drills, lectures, and other preparatory activities aimed at integrating corps members into their new environment.
NYSC authorities explained that the modification in dates was necessary to improve coordination and maintain uniformity in the conduct of the exercise nationwide.
Prospective corps members are advised to regularly check official NYSC communication channels for updates, travel early to their designated camps, and comply with all registration requirements to avoid missing the exercise.
The scheme also reiterated its safety advisory, warning participants against night travel and urging them to prioritise secure transport arrangements while heading to their orientation camps.
