Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has dismissed reports alleging that he has divorced Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Churchill refuted the circulating rumours and posted what appeared to be a court document to support his position.
“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false,” he said. “There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such.”
Despite sharing a document labelled “enrolment of judgment,” which bears both his name and Meurer’s, Churchill insisted that there was no legally recognised marriage between them.
According to him, their relationship did not involve a formal church or court wedding. “What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he explained.
Churchill also questioned the validity of the alleged divorce process, stating that he was never officially served any legal documents, which he noted is a fundamental requirement in legitimate legal proceedings.
Beyond addressing the divorce rumours, Churchill spoke about his past relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh, with whom he shares a son. His comments come amid recent sightings of the former couple spending time together with their child, King Andre.
He revealed that both parties have moved past their differences and chosen forgiveness.
“If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone, and if I offended anyone, it should be Tonto. However, we have both chosen to forgive each other,” he said, adding that their past issues were personal.
Churchill also addressed claims that Rosy Meurer played a significant role in supporting him during his past disputes with Dikeh. While acknowledging that Meurer faced public criticism, he rejected what he described as exaggerated narratives about her involvement.
“I do not agree with the narrative that Rosy ‘stood by me’ in a way that should now be exaggerated,” he said, stressing that his past relationship challenges were his responsibility.
His statement follows similar denials from Meurer, who has also dismissed rumours about their relationship, including claims that she unfollowed Churchill on social media or had a prior friendship with Dikeh.
